In order to paint great translucent work, a brush must be able to hold and distribute the medium used evenly and controlled. Freehand #17 is a round pointed filbert with a good snap and medium soft hair. It is in it’s element with liquid paints like Alco Colour, or liquified Longwear Creme, but works beautifully with cream makeup and powders also for beauty work. A truly diverse and valuable asset in the collection and a must have. Freehand #17 partners with Freehand #18 and were created for Greg Cannom.
Greg Cannom is a 5 time Oscar winner. He has had a 40 year career of excellence and has created some of the most inspirational makeups in cinema including Vice, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Benjamin Button, Hannibal and (sculpted) Mrs Doubtfire. Greg is a painter and he loves the way these brushes hold colour, how they work well with any medium, how they have a great snap and how they can do precision work, yet still be soft and diffuse a paint or gel.
How To Clean:
Wash Freehand #17 in hot water with our Vegan Brush Shampoo to remove all cosmetics. If using with intense paints, clean with ipa first then wash.
