Interview makeup should look deliberate but restrained. Heavy contouring, thick lashes, or bold colour can distract from communication and facial expression.
Applying makeup in thin layers and stopping once the skin looks even and rested keeps the focus on the person rather than the makeup. When in doubt, reduce intensity rather than add more.
